Microsoft Teams Integration Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for integrating the Beedeez application within your Microsoft Teams environment. You will learn how to import the application, configure its availability, and make it accessible to your users.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
- ✅ Microsoft Teams administrator account
- ✅ Beedeez application file (ZIP format) provided by Beedeez
- ✅ Access rights to the Teams Admin Center to manage applications
Step 1: Import the Application
Access the Teams Admin Center
- Log in to your Microsoft Teams Admin Center
- In the left menu, navigate to Teams apps > Manage apps
Upload the Beedeez Application
- Click the + Upload button (or + Add)
- Select Upload a custom app > Upload for the entire organization
- Choose the Beedeez ZIP file provided to you
- Click Upload to import the application
Once uploaded, the Beedeez application will appear in your organization's app catalog.
Step 2: Configure Availability and Permissions
- In the applications list, locate and click on Beedeez
- Click on Users and Groups
- Define the deployment scope by selecting the desired availability:
- Entire organization - Available to all users
- Specific groups - Available to selected groups only
- Individual users - Available to specific users only
- Enable the custom app required permission under Permission tab
- Click Save to apply your changes
The application will be deployed and visible to targeted users within 1 to 3 hours.
Step 3: Authorize Custom Applications
To allow users to install and use the Beedeez application:
- In the left menu, go to App setup policies > Manage policies
- Select the policy you want to modify (or create a new one)
- Under Custom apps, enable:
- ✅ Allow user pinning
- ✅ Allow uploading custom apps
- Click Save
Step 4: Pin the Application (Optional)
For faster access, you can pin Beedeez to the Teams sidebar:
- Go to App setup policies > Global (Org-wide default)
- Click Edit
- Under Pinned apps, click + Add apps
- Search for and select Beedeez
- Click Add and then Save
Pinning the app ensures users can access Beedeez directly from their Teams sidebar without searching for it.
Step 5: Verify the Installation
To confirm the integration was successful:
- Ask a target user to open Microsoft Teams
- Click on Apps in the left sidebar
- Navigate to Built for your org (or Built for [Your Organization Name])
- The user should see the Beedeez icon
- Click on it to launch the application
